History

Quanta Services was founded in 1997 by four leading contractors in the electric power and telecommunication industries. These leaders had the vision and expertise to create an integrated contracting team equipped with the resources of the nation's strongest contractors, capable of collectively and seamlessly addressing the most comprehensive and complex infrastructure needs.

The company completed its initial public offering in 1998 and is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol PWR. In 2009, Quanta was added to the S&P 500 stock index.

As deregulation, the explosion of electronic commerce, and the continuing rapid growth of wireless communications spurred convergence of products, networks and services, Quanta's expertise surged. As a result, the company quickly grew from $152 million in revenue in its first year to more than $4 billion in 2011.

In December 2012, Quanta Services announced the completion of the sale of its telecom subsidiaries to Dycom Industries.

Today, the company has grown into a nationwide network comprised of more than 40 entities collaborating to deliver single-source infrastructure solutions to the electric power, renewable energy and natural gas and pipeline industries. Multi-faceted jobs that once required as many as ten different contractors can now be serviced by a single company – Quanta Services.

Quanta has consistently grown its knowledge base, capabilities and geographic reach through its strong track record, experienced leadership, safety excellence and commitment to customer service. The company continues to execute this proven strategy to ensure that its customers have direct access to a complete selection of design, installation and maintenance services for virtually any energy infrastructure in any location.
