Earl C. "Duke" Austin, Jr.

Earl C. "Duke" Austin, Jr. serves as chief operating officer for Quanta Services. In this role, Austin will drive the growth of Quanta’s presence in the electric power and natural gas and pipeline industries, while providing strategic oversight of the company’s operations related to the planning of engineering, construction, testing services, design and operations.

Before being appointed to his current position, Austin was president of Quanta Services Inc,'s Natural Gas and Pipeline Division. Before joining Quanta Services, Austin served as president of North Houston Pole Line a Quanta Services company, and one of the largest electric power and natural gas infrastructure contractors in the Southwest.

As president of North Houston Pole Line, LP, Austin, oversaw the company’s full range of electric power, gas and telecommunication utility infrastructure services and was instrumental in the strategic growth of North Houston Pole Line.

Austin serves on the board of the Southwest Line Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association. Austin received a Bachelor of Arts in business management with an emphasis in accounting from Sam Houston State University. He resides in Houston with his wife, three sons and one daughter.
