Blattner Company Raising Funds For Wounded Veterans Hockey Teams

Blattner Company’s hockey team will play the Minnesota Warriors Veteran’s Hockey team to raise funds for the MN Warriors program.

The game will help expand the MN Warriors, support the newly-created women’s MN Warrior hockey team, ice rental, travel and lodging, plus league fees for MN Warriors Hockey teams.

The game is Saturday at the Bernick’s Ice Arena at the Scheels Athletic Complex in Sartell. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.

The night starts at 5 p.m. with team welcomes by a Sartell police and fire department escort to the arena. The game begins at 6 p.m. with a performance of the National Anthem by Minnesota Wild singer John DeCausemaker and an honorary puck drop by the current Ms. Woman United States and veteran advocate, Sara Peterson. St. Cloud State University’s men’s hockey public address announcer, Chuck Clausen, will call the game.

There will also be prizes and raffle items to win, including an SCSU gear package, MN Wild hockey tickets, Bauer hockey bags and SCHEEL’s gift cards.

“Blattner is honored to host this event for veterans of the Minnesota Warriors, and to honor and thank them for their service to our country,” said Christine Huston, Director, Marketing Communications at Blattner.

The Minnesota Warriors Ice Hockey Program has been organized for charitable and educational purposes, for United States Military personnel wounded, injured or otherwise disabled veterans of the United States military in conjunction with the USA Disabled Hockey Program, in order to assist our veterans with reintegration into civilian life.
