Gateway South: Pioneering the New Quanta Way
The Gateway South Transmission Project represents a new chapter in how Quanta Services delivers large-scale energy infrastructure. Stretching 416 miles from Wyoming to Utah, this 500-kV transmission line pushed the limits of coordination, engineering, and teamwork to connect communities and strengthen the grid for generations to come.
This project became a model for collaboration across Quanta’s network, bringing together 21 operating companies united by one goal: building safely, efficiently, and together.
When the contract was finalized in early 2022, the team faced immediate challenges. The global steel supply was disrupted, timelines were tight, and construction had to begin that same year. It demanded new levels of communication, creativity, and problem-solving from everyone involved.
